The Saint Lawrence River and Seaway
This site contains a lot of useful information on the St. Lawrence River and Seaway for students. The links to other articles are especially useful. There is a link to an article on the construction of the seaway, and another on how it is managed today. Another linked article deals entirely with Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River.
This site, an initiative of the Redpath Museum at McGill University, includes excellent information for students on Quebec's mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, and species at risk. The Web activity focuses on mapping skills. This site also presents an excellent opportunity for students to find out about species at risk. Students may be surprised at the number of plant and animal species at risk in Quebec.
