Ekati Diamond Mine
Diamond mining represents a growing opportunity for the Northwest Territories. Tour Canada's first operating diamond mine-using Satellite imagery! This Natural Resources Canada Web site shows seven satellite images of the Ekati Diamond Mine, 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife. Check out the Panda Pit, the main camp and the processing camp, the waste rock storage area, and even the airstrip.
