region. Students can use the search engine to find information about specific
animals. They can also visit the video and sound clip library to see and
hear sounds and stories about animals. The Educators link provides information
on many current topics affecting wildlife and ecosystems in Canada today.
This excellent Canadian biodiversity Web site produced
by McGill University provides a wealth of information about the flora
and fauna in Canada. The site provides specific information on the Lowland
regions under several categories: Plants, Birds, Animals, Reptiles, Fish,
Molluscs, and Insects. Each category provides links to specific species.
By clicking on the links, students will find pictures of each species
and a map of its traditional habitat.
