Instructions for Use

Finding Circumference lets students understand that the circumference of a circle is directly related to its diameter.

To use Finding Circumference, click the "Diameter/Circumference" button. Click the arrow keys to increase or decrease the diameter of the circle. Notice the change in the circumference when you change the diameter.

Interactive Geoboard lets students measure the circumference of circles.

To use Interactive Geoboard, click on the circle button to the right of the grid. Click on the grid to make a centre point, and then click on a second point on the grid to make the outside of the circle. Notice the length of the circumference. Click the "Measure Length" button and then measure the width (known as the diameter) of the circle. Notice the relationship between the width and the circumference.
