Instructions for Use

Division using Pictures lets your child explore and practice division by using pictures.

To use Division using Pictures, click ‘Show Me’. This option lets your child explore the result of dividing one number by another by dragging the slider to the left of the grid. A dividend is given and, by adjusting the slider, the quotient and the remainder change within the grid in the corresponding equation to the right. The numbers below and to the left of the grid represent the number of blue boxes in the grid. The red blocks represent the remainder in the given equation.

Click on the “Test Me’ to solve division problems. Use the slider to create an array to represent the division problem. Input the answers in the text boxes and click ‘Check’ to see if they are correct.
