Nelson Civic Leadership Scholarships support community-minded student leaders in achieving their educational goals. Three $5000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated academic success, personal strength, and determination in their commitment to civic engagement and leadership.

whoicon WHO can apply?

All Canadian students, outside Québec, who are completing their final year of high school and are making a difference in their community.

whaticon WHAT is required?

All Applicants
  • Completed online application form
  • 500–750 word essay detailing your civic leadership activities
  • Minimum 80% average in final year of high school
  • A reference letter from a high school teacher
  • High school transcripts
  • An additional reference letter from someone in your community
  • Letter of acceptance to a Canadian post-secondary program of study
Scholarship Recipients
  • Proof of tuition payment (first installment)
