Investigation: Classifying Elements

A lesson that presents Dalton’s Atomic Theory, a theory on the nature of elements and compounds.

The First Periodic Table.  Mendeleev had the insight to arrange the known elements into vertical columns he called "Gruppe's" on the basis of their similar chemical and physical properties. A short page with an illustration.
