A must read for greater understanding of Canada's role. Domestic Refrigeration Efficiency Programs in the US Page (480, EAI ) This page comes from a summary of a paper presented at the Domestic Use of Electrical Energy conference in Capetown. The paper focuses on the use of CFC's and other refrigerants, discusses the risks and costs of alternatives. Careers in Oceanography, Marine Science, and Marine Biology Page (490 ) The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Library has this comprehensive list of links to descriptions for a large number of careers related to oceanography and other professions. Includes links to school requirements (knowledge of gases) and career opportunities. The page is comprehensive, scroll through it to find a link of interest.
The Government of Canada's Marine Environmental Data Service describes careers in Meteorology on this page. The site is complete with information on the nature of the work, types of courses requires, schools that offer these courses etc. Physics: An Adventure, a Career Page (490 ) From the University of New Brunswick Physics Department, a listing of careers in physics that require knowledge of matter. The section on plasma physics includes knowledge of gases. It is a short description but may give you some ideas. Hamiliton-Wentworth Air Quality Initiative Page (493, #20 ) Environment Canada report on the major pollutants in the Hamilton Wentworth area. Although the report focuses on Hamilton, the information reviewed, especially in sections 2 and 4 is applicable to any area in Ontario.

It also includes a link leading to an explanation of Air Quality Index and the various locations around the province where measurements are taken. Air Quality Ontario Page (493, #20 ) This is the Ontario Ministry of the Environment's page on Air Quality. Click on "Today's Air Quality" for the readings in cities across Ontario.
