On page 22, question 8, you were exploring the number of pieces that a circle can be cut into by a number of chords. The following applet lets you draw a number of chords on a circle, and move them in order to find the maximum number of pieces that can be made.
On page 25, question 23, you were exploring patterns formed when squares were made out of toothpicks. The following applet simulates making toothpick squares. Use the applet to draw up to level 8, and explore the patterns discussed in question 23 parts a, b and c.
