Opening an Existing Client File
When you create a new Client File, Profile automatically saves all settings and search results at various points during its execution. For additional information on the files that Profile creates for each new Client File, see the Help section Profile 2004 Client File System.
To open an existing Client File:
Once the necessary data has been loaded, most Search Filter settings, scores, interpretation narratives, and selected occupation titles that were previously available when the new Client File was created, can be accessed and modified.
Search Filter settings and contents are displayed in the pane to the left of the occupation titles grid. If Profile was used in both Standard and C-TSA modes for the current Client File, you can switch between display modes by clicking the Operating Mode menu, and then click on the mode you want to operate within.
Please Note: The following cannot be changed in a previously created Client File that has been retrieved (opened) from disk:
Although GATB Raw Part Scores cannot be changed, you can change the SEM, GATB Form, Major Aptitudes Only, and Allowance Range settings. If you change the Add SEM or GATB Form settings, click on the Convert button to re-convert Raw Part Scores. Then click Apply.
If a Work History was previously compiled (i.e, after a new Client File was created, or when the same file was previously opened), you cannot add additional occupation titles to that Work History. You can however delete titles from the Work History. To do this:
