Licence File Management

When Profile is run, it will verify how many licenced uses you have remaining in your licence key file.  If that number is zero, (as it will be when you run Profile for the first time), a new licence key file is automatically generated. A dialog box will appear on the screen describing the procedure required to purchase new licence uses.

To order uses for Profile Professional 2004:

  1. Open a New message in your e-mail program and address it to 'profile@nelson.com'.
  2. In your e-mail program, choose "Insert>File" from the menu, or click the 'Attachments' button.
  3. In the window that opens, locate the Program Files folder on your C drive and open the 'Profile Professional 2004' folder.
  4. Select the "PP04.key' file and attach it to the e-mail message.
  5. In the e-mail message, indicate the number of uses you wish to order, and click 'Send'.

If you are placing an order when you have zero uses left, quit Profile Professional 2004 and do not start it up again until you have received and installed your new licence file.

When you receive your PP04.key licence file via e-mail it will appear as an attachment. To install it, copy the PP04.key file back into your Profile Professional 2004 directory. Answer Yes to any message that appears asking if you want to overwrite/replace a file by the same name.

The next time you run Profile, your uses will be updated to reflect the number you have purchased.
