Displaying NOC Occupational Groups

Profile can display NOC contents in the grid that are organized by:

When you start Profile, the grid display will default to all 923 Unit Groups.

To view the contents of a particular group of NOC occupation titles, click on the Display Groups menu, and then click on the group you want to view in the grid. Clicking on menu items Skill Level or Skill Type will produce a pop up menu from which you can choose a specific subgrouping of titles from those categories.

Please Note:

If you display a specific Skill Level or Skill Type in the grid before clicking the Start Search button to begin a comparison search, Profile will ask if you want to restrict the scope of the search to the Skill Level or Skill Type currently displayed in the grid.

Sorting Grid Display Contents:

All occupation title groups that are listed under the Display Groups menu can be sorted by Unit Group Code number or occupation title in ascending or descending order.

To sort the grid display contents:

  1. Select an occupation group under the Display Groups menu.
  2. Return to the Display Groups menu, and select the Sort by menu option. You can then choose to sort by Unit Group Code or occupation title.

Note that the Sort by menu option will be disabled when displaying the results set of a comparison search, and when displaying a Work History.
