Applying Search Filters

Please see the Help section Understanding the Comparison Search for a detailed explanation of how Search Filters operate during the selection of occupation titles from the NOC CH database.

Search Filter settings can be accessed in either of two ways:

• You can click the Search Filters menu at the top of the screen, and then click the Search Filter you want to use;

or

• You can click any underlined Search Filter label in the pane on the left side of the screen.

After you click a Search Filter, one or more dialog boxes will appear on the screen. Most dialog boxes containing Search Filter settings will also contain Details and Help buttons to provide you with additional assistance.

Once you have chosen and applied the settings for a Search Filter, the check box to the left of that Search Filter in left pane of the screen, will be checked automatically. This indicates that the Search Filter is activated and will participate in the comparison search. To deactivate a Search Filter, click on the check box to clear it. Deactivated Search Filter settings are ignored during the comparison search.

To initiate the comparison search, click the Start Search button.
