UNIT SUMMARY

Most of Unit 2 has focused on acquiring self-knowledge and thinking about how that knowledge will affect your career choices. This activity will give you a chance, now that you have completed the unit, to complete an additional self-assessment questionnaire and consider the results.

1. Go to PersonalityType.com and complete the "Discovery Your Type" quiz.
   
   
2. Print (or record) your results (i.e., the description of your personality type) and then click on and print the careers that are suggested as most suitable for that type.
   
   
3. Based on the results of your previous assessments, and on what you've learned in this unit, write a paragraph analysing those results.
   
   
4. To develop your Internet research skills, go back to the PersonalityType.com home page and answer the following questions about the quiz:
   
   
   • Is it clear who is sponsoring the creation and maintenance of the page?
   • Is there a way of verifying the legitimacy of the page's sponsor? For instance, is a phone number or address available to contact for more information?
   • Is it clear who developed and wrote the quiz? Are that person's qualifications for writing on this topic stated?
   • Is the quiz presented as a scientifically accurate test? If not, how is it presented?
   • Are there dates on the page to indicate when the page was written, first placed online, and last revised or edited?
