Activity: Create a Poster Illustrating the Work of the RCMP
Canada's national policing organization fights crime through various
programs. Find out more about the work of the RCMP and prepare a poster.
1. Visit the Web site of the RCMP.
Consider the following options for your poster profile of this organization.
Option A:
Click on "Programs and Services," "Operations," and
then "Federal Services." Then select one of the following
items to read about. If you choose one of these programs to profile
in your poster, write a brief summary of the nature of the program
and highlight significant items of interest for your poster.
- Customs and Excise
- Drug Enforcement
- Immigration
- Proceeds of Crime
- Money Laundering
- Economic Crime Branch
- Criminal Intelligence
Option B:
From the home page of the RCMP,
click on "Programs and Services" and then "National
Police Services." You may select one of the following programs
to read about. If you choose one of these programs to profile on your
poster, write a brief summary of the purpose of the program and highlight
significant items of interest for your poster.

Option C:
If you are interested in becoming an RCMP constable, select "Recruiting" from
the home page of the RCMP.
If you choose this topic for your poster, write a brief summary of
the key requirements for becoming an RCMP constable.
2. Carefully select or rewrite the text that you will include on your
poster. Your classmates are your target audience. Create categories
to organize your information and graphically enhance your poster by
including appropriate images and lettering styles.
