Department of Indian and Northern Affairs

This is the official government Web site for Indian and Northern Affairs. The Kids' Stop is student-friendly and the links provide fact sheets, games, and other resources. In addition, there are links to other useful sites as well as to classroom activities.

Aboriginal Peoples in Quebec

This Web site, by the government of Quebec, provides links where students can access current population data in the region. Students should follow a link under the heading "Native Nations of Quebec" and then click on the Population link. There is also a map link, but you should emphasize to students the need to focus on the St. Lawrence Lowland region rather than the entire province of Quebec.
