Students will be conducting an advanced search at this Web site. Step-by-step instructions are given, and students familiar with the use of computers will not require assistance; however, students who do not have frequent access to the Internet may need some guidance. Note that students will need access to a Canadian atlas or a road map of Saskatchewan in order to map the locations of several of the mines in the activity. If desired, extend this activity by having students repeat the step-by-step search using uranium , and include those locations on their map, as well, along with a separate symbol for uranium mines.
