Pathfinders & Passageways The Exploration of Canada  

The men and women who have contributed to the exploration of Canada are innumerable. For this Web site, a selection has been made of those considered to have directly furthered the geographical understanding of what is now Canada. Excerpts of the explorers' published accounts, manuscript selections, or citations from works published by their contemporaries are included. Artistic works, maps, and artifacts are displayed throughout the site. The site is supplemented by thematic essays on mapmaking and transportation, as well as texts on other topics recurrent in the history of exploration in Canada.

First Nations History

This Web site presents 13 short articles covering the history of Aboriginal Peoples in Saskatchewan since the arrival of Columbus.
