In this activity you will make a poster, display, or collage providing information about one of different specialty crops that are being grown in Saskatchewan as farmers seek to find crops that can be grown for profit.

1. Visit the Saskatchewan Interactive Web site.

2. You will find a menu panel on the left-hand side of the page. Choose the

     one that says "Agriculture."

3. Scroll down until you see the section entitled "Crops," and then click on the

    area "Alternative crops."

4. Choose one of the alternative crops listed on the left-hand side of the

    screen. The list begins with the word "Canary."

5. Read the information provided about your chosen alternative crop. Click

    here to download an organizer on which to record your information.

6. Use your information to create an informative visual display about this

    particular alternative crop.
