Many of their paintings are on display at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario. This site provides a brief overview of the artists and their works. Students could use this site for research about some of Canada's cultural icons.
National Historic Sites of Canada
This section of the Parks Canada Web site showcases the national historic sites across the country. They are places of profound importance to our nation, its history, and our understanding of Canada. "Each national historic site is a distinct and vibrant symbol of Canadian identity. It is also a centre of learning, a wealth of information, a living history adventure, an experience of what Canada used to be and what it is today." At this Web site students can find out why these areas have been preserved as natural wonders and cultural treasures. If you want to visit the sites, complete visitor information is also provided.
