Natural Resources Canada

Resolute Bay is a Nunavut "hot spot" for scientists, explorers, and-tourists! It is known as the "jumping off place" for expeditions to the North Pole. This Web site has links to satellite and radar imagery of three Nunavut locations. The Resolute Bay photos were taken by radar. Scene 3 includes a conventional photo of the same area for which a radar image is posted, making comparisons possible. Resolute Bay embodies two "opportunities" for Nunavut: tourism, and technology.
