To evaluate the students' timelines, you could ask the pairs to explain why they decided to include the events they did. Look for evidence that students have logical reasons to support their choices. As a follow-up, you could have a classroom discussion about the value of comparing their timelines with those of other students. Did it help them to better understand the information? Did hearing another point of view make them reconsider any of their choices?
