Hampton: A Rural Community in New Brunswick
After reading in the student text (on page 54) about how preserving rural communities is one of the challenges New Brunswick faces, students can visit such a community on-line. This link to a Web page about the town of Hampton contains information about the community's history, local landmarks and organizations, and other points of interest. You may wish to use the site to have students make inferences about what it is like to live in Hampton and how it might be different from living in one of New Brunswick's urban centres.
