of the Great Lakes Lowland, this site is a good place to start. Go to

Sainte-Marie-among-the-Hurons
The Wendat (Huron) Nation lived in the area around
Lake Huron. Disease and war wiped out the Wendat in the middle of the
eighteenth century. However, their history is preserved at Sainte-Marie-among-the-Hurons
near Georgian Bay. At the centre's Web site, you can find out what life
was like for the once great and powerful Wendat Nation.
