Dene
Náoweré Kó
Deline on Great Bear Lake was originally known
as Fort Franklin. This Web site provides information on the history of
the community and on Deline today. Satellite images, photographs, and
text allow students to learn more about the Dene people of this part of
the Canadian Shield. On the Youth Space link, students can find poetry,
stories, and drawings by the young people of Deline.
Indian
and Northern Affairs
This is the official government Web site for the Department of Indian and
Northern Affairs. The Kids' Stop is student-friendly and the links provide
fact sheets, games, and other resources. In addition, there are links to
other useful sites as well as to classroom activities.
