BC Archives Time Machine  

This BC Archives website is an excellent resource designed specifically for students. Information is easy to access and suitable for grade 4, 5, & 6 students. Print information is supplemented with numerous photographs from the BC Archives collection. Highly recommended.

Government of Canada: Digital Collections: The Cariboo Gold Rush  

This portal has links to the largest Internet source of Canadian history and has links to great information about the Cariboo Gold Rush, facts about gold, and a special "For Kids! " Section. It is well organized and easy to read. It is an interactive site: if students take either of the "journeys" offered, they will occasionally have to choose an option-and bear the consequences!   There are also lots of games; kids will enjoy this site.
