Can you imagine what it would be like to spend a whole week in darkness, with no sunlight at all? Chances are you'd find it hard to imagine living in darkness for more than half a day! This Web site lists places in the Arctic that are without sunshine for days during the winter. It gives the number of days each place has without a sunrise and the length of the polar nights.

The Inuit Parka: Function and Metaphor
