Web Links

These Web sites will provide you with background information.

Web Links

Parks Canada

The Parks Canada Web site provides links to all of Canada's national parks, by province and territory. In Newfoundland and Labrador, students can find out more about Gros Morne National Park, a beautiful nature preserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They can also look for other national parks in the Appalachian region through the Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island links. The site also provides a Teacher Guide section with ongoing activities, programs, and competitions.

Visiting New Brunswick

Students will find this Web site helpful for activities that involve planning a trip to the region or suggesting reasons why they would want to visit the region. It provides good geographic coverage of New Brunswick as well as links to other sites. Encourage students to look for similar Web sites for the other provinces in the Appalachian region.
