For information on Aboriginal peoples of Atlantic Canada, students can go to this Web site produced by the Nova Scotia Museum. The fact sheet is easy to read and provides information about such topics as housing, clothing, transportation, language, and pastimes. Encourage students to check Web sites for other provinces in the Appalachian region to find information about Aboriginal peoples.


Indian and Northern Affairs

This is the official government Web site for Indian and Northern Affairs. The Kids' Stop is student-friendly and the links provide fact sheets, games, and other resources. In addition, there are links to other useful sites as well as to classroom activities.
