This National Council for Science and the Environment site provides a catalogue of Web sites about Aboriginal peoples in Canada and the environment. It provides interesting links to information about the impact of hydroelectric dams on traditional territories and on hunting and fishing.

Survey of Energy Resources

This site provides an overview of energy resources used around the world. The left-side menu allows the user to find specific information about the use of both renewable and non-renewable resources.

Environmental Impact - In the Eye of the Beholder?

This is the Porcupine Caribou Management Board site. It provides a perspective on oil and gas exploration and the use of pipelines in the Arctic. It discusses the effect these could have on the environment and the Porcupine Caribou herd, an important food source for the community of Old Crow, Yukon.

Canadian Nuclear Association

This site includes a map illustrating the location of nuclear power stations and deposits of uranium around the world.

B.C. Clean Energy Guidelines

This Ministry of Energy and Mines site provides an overview of B.C.'s Energy Plan, which was released in 2002, to establish a framework for energy development in the province. Included on the site is a discussion of "clean electricity" options, including small hydro and geothermal, wind, solar, tidal, biomass and wave energy.

Annapolis Tidal Generating Station

This site provides information about the production of electricity using tidal energy. Included on the site is the story and video of Sluice, the trapped humpback whale.
