Lesson 10 - Number Neighbours: Facts with 7 and 8To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Number Neighbours: Facts with 7 and 8, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs. GoalUse facts you know to multiply and divide with 7 and 8. Builds UponStudent Book pages 178-179 Instructions for UseFacts about 7 and 8 prompts students to visualize strategies to multiply with 7 and 8. To use Facts about 7 and 8, click "Show Multiple". Click on any number. The multiples will appear in red. Click on a second number and a second set of multiples will appear in blue shaded boxes. Students have only two chances to select multiples, and then they must select the "Reset" button. If students click the "Remove Multiple" button, all the multiples appear as blank boxes on the grid. The "Remove Multiple" button is not limited to two times. You can remove as many multiples as you like.
Mathmagician prompts students practice multiplication and division. Click on either the 'multiplication' or 'division' buttons. Have students enter their name in the text box. Choose facts with 7 or 8 for multiplication or division. Click on 'Start'. Answer the questions in the text box before the time runs out. |
