Lesson 4 - Maps and Paths

To encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about Maps and Paths, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

Bike Route lets your child locate different places on a map.

To use Bike Route, click on the blinking dots to move Inez around. Inez needs to run errands: to the video store, Betty's house, the post office, and finish at the library. Have your child help Inez complete the errands using a set number of blocks.

Find the Virus prompts your child to find a hidden object using directions.

To use Find the Virus, use the four arrow keys on a computer keyboard to move the car north, south, east and west on the map. Use Dr. Marbles tracking device to find which direction the virus pod is located. The timer shows how much time is left to locate the virus. The map shows an overview of the entire island and the player's current location.
