Instructions for Use

Visualizing Arrays prompts your child to group units in different ways to form arrays.

To use Visualizing Arrays, click on the "Grouping" button. Adjust the horizontal and vertical sliders to change the size of the arrays.

Arrays on a Grid allows your child to visually plot arrays on a grid.

To use Arrays on a Grid, input a number between 0 and 50 in the text field ' Use this #' button, and click the button. Enter the factors of the number in the text box - expressed as a product - for example: 1* 6 for 1 X 6. Click on the ' Enter' button. Use the ' Hint ' button to help determine how many more factors there are left. When all the expressions are entered, select one by clicking on it. The expression will be highlighted with gray and will be shown above the grid. Click and drag across the grid to color a rectangle with the dimensions of the expression. To check the answer, click the 'Check' button.
