Lesson 9 - Telling Time
To encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about Telling Time, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use
Tell the Time allows your child to practice telling time to the minute using analog and digital clocks.
To use Tell the Time, start by moving the cursor over any minute interval on the clock. A number will appear over each minute interval. Press the number and the minute hand jumps to the location. Click on the '+' sign to add minutes or hours, and click on the '-' sign to subtract minutes or hours. Click on the 'Stop/Start' button to stop or start the clock. Click on the 'Digital Clock' button to show the digital clock. Move the up and down arrows to change the time on the analog clock. Click on the 'Quit' button to leave the program.
What Time is it? prompts your child to practice their understanding of telling time.
To use What Time is It?, set the clock's minutes and hours by clicking forward and backward on the buttons at the bottom of the screen. To check what time it is now, click the 'Now' button. To check the digital time, click the button with two arrows. Make up your own problems about length of time in minutes. Give your problem to a partner to solve.
