Instructions for Use

Trans Canada Trail prompts students to carry out a plan to travel all or part of this trail.

To use Trans Canada Trail, select a province or territory, then an activity, the nearest city and a specific trail. The site will give you the distance of the trail. Find how long the trails are in each province, or across the country. Use a diagram to solve this problem.

 

Bruce Trail lets students carry out a plan to travel all or part of this network of trails.

To use Bruce Trail, click on one of the trails, and find out the distance or the trail and how long the average person takes to trek it. Use a diagram to solve this problem.

 

New Zealand Driving Map allows students to use diagrams to solve problems.

To use the New Zealand Driving Map, click on a town or city label, and drag the cursor to another town or city until its name is highlighted. Release the mouse and the driving distance between the two locations will display.
