Lesson 10 - Counting Patterns
To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Counting Patterns, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs. GoalSkip count by 2s, 5s, and 25s. Builds UponStudent Book pages 44-45 Instructions for Use
Skip Counting prompts students to multiply using repeated addition. To use Skip Counting, follow the skip counting strategy to help students find the product for each multiplication question. Have students use a pencil and paper to write the answers to the questions, and then click on the questions to see the answers.
Counting by Twos lets students practice counting by twos. To use Counting by Twos, click the 'Start Count-Up by Twos" button. Input the next number in the text box when counting by twos.
Counting by Fives lets students practice counting by fives. To use Counting by Fives, click the 'Start Count-Up by Fives" button. Input the next number in the text box when counting by fives.
Counting by Twenty Fives lets students practice counting by twenty fives. To use Counting by Twenty Fives, start by pressing the number 25. It will appear in the window of the calculator. Press the '+' button on the calculator, the number selected becomes shaded on the hundreds board. Add the number 25, then press the '=' button on the calculator, and skip count by 25s on the 100s chart. |
