Lesson 5 - Comparing and Ordering

 

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Comparing and Ordering, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Instructions for Use

The Award Ceremony prompts students to compare and order numbers.

To use The Awards Ceremony, click on 'Order Whole Numbers up to 100'. Click on the flag with the highest score, and then click on the number 1 position. Continue until all the scores are included on the chart from highest to lowest. To remove a country's score from the board, double click on the position number. To check your answers, click on the 'Awards Medals' button. Try other events.

 

One False Move lets students practice ordering whole numbers.

To use One False Move, choose the type and level of game you want to play. Press the 'Play' button. If you choose 'lowest to highest', start by selecting the lowest number on the grid and work your way to the highest. If you choose 'highest to lowest', start by selecting the highest number on the grid and work your way to the lowest. Click 'Use Map' if you are lost. Use the flashlight to scare off any ghosts you see.
