Lesson 8 - Using Numbers on a Calendar

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Using Numbers on a Calendar, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Goal

Observe and represent the sequencing and placement of numbers from 1 to 30 on a calendar.

Instructions for Use

Calendar prompts students to fill in events they would do in a month and create their own calendar to observe the placement and sequencing of numbers from 1 to 30.

To use Calendar, type in a title for the calendar. Add information to each day of the month. Click "Make My Calendar" button. Print off the calendar.

Calendar Game lets students recognize different sequencing and placement of numbers.

To use Calendar Game, click on the pull-down menu "Set your own challenge". Select a number and click the "Set" button. Move the frame to show four numbers so that the diagonal numbers total the set number. To change the calendar month, click the "Change Month" button.
