Lesson 4 - Building a Number Line

To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Building a Number Line, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.

Goals

Recognize numerals and number words. Use a number line.

Instructions for Use

Find the Number lets students use a number to compare number values.

To use Find the Number, have students click on the number in the number line that matches the number on the bird's shirt.

Number Line lets students count forward.

To use Number Line, have students click on a number that the bee should visit first. After the bee has drunk the nectar from the first flower, have students click on another number to count forward on the number line.

Count Us In- Game 3 lets students recognize numerals and number words.

To use Count Us In - Game 3, have students select a level. Have students count all the things in the picture that are the same as the one in the count box, and enter the number in the text box. In the higher level, have students count all the things in the picture that are the same as the one in the count box, and enter both the number and the number word in the text boxes.
