Many
Gifts meets all expectations of the Ontario Social
Studies curriculum while based on a Catholic understanding of
human beings and human society. Students are introduced to Catholic
social teaching in a developmentally appropriate manner and Many
Gifts is infused throughout by Catholic beliefs
and values.
For each grade, Many Gifts
consists of a student book and a comprehensive
Teacher's Resource Book that:
- provides detailed lesson plans
- shows where Ontario's curriculum expectations are met
- indicates correlations with all other curriculum areas, including
Religion and Family Life
- encourages and assists in making home/school connections
- offers a variety of assessment strategies and tools based
on the Ontario Social Studies Curriculum model
