Many Gifts

Product Information

 

Many Gifts meets all expectations of the Ontario Social Studies curriculum while based on a Catholic understanding of human beings and human society. Students are introduced to Catholic social teaching in a developmentally appropriate manner and Many Gifts is infused throughout by Catholic beliefs and values.

For each grade, Many Gifts consists of a student book and a comprehensive Teacher's Resource Book that:

  • provides detailed lesson plans
  • shows where Ontario's curriculum expectations are met
  • indicates correlations with all other curriculum areas, including Religion and Family Life
  • encourages and assists in making home/school connections
  • offers a variety of assessment strategies and tools based on the Ontario Social Studies Curriculum model

 

Many Gifts Authors and Advisors
Dr. Sylvia Santin, General Editor of the Ontario Bishop's Family Life Program Fully Alive , and Patrick Gallagher, Editorial Director of Fully Alive , bring to the creation of Many Gifts a wealth of experience in developing Catholic curriculum.
The Many Gifts advisory team adds to the program a rich background in Catholic education, curriculum development, and the social teaching of the Church. Its members include Archbishop Marcel Gervais, Marilynn Childerhose, John Podgorski, Andrea Bishop, Anne O'Brien, Father Michael Ryan, Angelo Bolotta, Brian DePiero, and Larry Trafford.
