WHAT'S NEW IN THE WORLD OF POLITICS Gordon Campbell's BC Liberals swept the NDP, led by Ujjal Dosnajh, out of office in the May election. The Liberals won 96% of the seats in the legislature, even though they won about 58% of the vote. The NDP managed to cling onto only a few seats, leaving the new government with too few opponents to mount an effective opposition in the legislature.
