Welcome to the Instructor's Vault, a
collection of resources to help you teach Sociology. The first thing
you should check out is Teaching
Sociology Online, where you'll find information about
what's located on this site.
The Instructor's
Manual for the third edition of Robert J. Brym's New
Society: Sociology for the 21st Century is available in both
viewable and downloadable formats. Click on any chapter in the Table
of Contents, and it will take you directly to that chapter. The Instructor's
Manual summarizes each chapter in the form of lecture notes, describes
how best to integrate each chapter with all of the instructor resource
materials, and provides suggestions on how to create the most effective
lectures possible.
The PowerPoint Presentation
to accompany the third edition of New Society is also available
in both viewable and downloadable formats. To go directly to the slides
of the chapter of your choice, click on any chapter in the Table of
Contents. The PowerPoint Presentation consists of nearly 650 full-colour
slides that summarize the content for each of the texts twenty
chapters, assist with instructor preparation, and enliven the students
classroom experience.
Finally, visit Robert Brym's
University of Toronto Web site to see how he has organized some of the New
Society and Society in Question material in his SOC101 course at the
University of Toronto.
