Harvey Krahn


Harvey Krahn is a professor of Sociology at the University of Alberta. His research and teaching interests are in social stratification, sociology of work and education, social science research methods, and public policy. His research projects have included studies of school-work transition patterns in Canada; employment outcomes of university graduates; literacy requirements in Canadian workplaces; trends in part-time and contract work; labour market experiences of high school dropouts; and refugee settlement experiences in Canada.

He is the author of Chapter 7: Social Stratification in the third edition of New Society.
