Reginald W. Bibby
Dr. Reginald Bibby is a professor of Sociology at
the University of Lethbridge and the recipient of an honorary doctoral degree from
Laurentian University. He holds a Ph.D. from Washington State University and an M.A. from
the University of Calgary.
For the past two decades, Dr. Bibby has been monitoring
social trends in Canada through a series of national surveys of adults and teenagers. He
has presented his findings in both North America and Europe and is the author of numerous
journal articles and several well-known books.
Dr. Bibby’s work has been covered in most of
Canada’s major dailies, and he has appeared on shows including Canada AM, the
CBC and CTV national news, and TSN. His work has also been given exposure in the
United States through CNN and USA Today, among others.
