Roderic Beaujot


Roderic Beaujot is professor of Sociology at the University of Western Ontario. Born in Saskatchewan, he did his high school and first degree at Collège Mathieu in Gravelbourg and continued his education at the University of Alberta, completing a Ph.D. in 1975. He worked as a demographer at Statistics Canada from 1974 to 1976 and has since been in the Department of Sociology at the University of Western Ontario. His areas of research and teaching interest include the population of Canada, immigration, fertility, family, and associated policy questions. He has written Population Change in Canada: The Challenges of Policy Adaptation (Oxford, 1991) and Earning and Caring in Canadian Families (Broadview, 2000).
