Instructions for Use
Algebra Quiz allows students to practice solving linear equations. To begin, select “Time Limit: 20 seconds”, “Difficulty: Level 2”, and “Problem Type: One-Step Equations.” Then click “Start Game” to begin. This activity will test your algebra skills. Click “Ready” to get an equation, solve the equation, type your answer into the blank text box, and hit the “Enter” key. The activity will tell you if your answer is correct. Keep clicking “Ready” to get more equations to solve. For a challenge go back to the main page, and select a higher Difficulty Level and various Problem Types.
Algebra Four allows students to a play a game with a partner that is similar to Connect Four, in which they must solve linear equations in order to take their turn. To begin, select “Time Limit: 20 seconds”, “Difficulty: Level 2”, and “Problem Type: One-Step Equations.” Then click “Start Game” to begin. The game is like Connect Four, and the goal is to place four of your pieces on the grid in a row, either horizontally, diagonally, or vertically, and to prevent the other player from doing so. You must solve a linear equation in order to take your turn. Click “Ready” to start the timer. Solve the equation, type in your answer, click “Answer” and then choose the column you want your piece to be placed in. For a challenge go back to the main page, and select a higher Difficulty Level and various Problem Types.
