Instructions for Use

Surface Area and Volume allows students to see how changing the dimensions of a shape changes the surface area and how that, in turn, changes the volume.

Select “Compute” under Mode at the top right of the screen. Manipulate the dimensions of the rectangular prism as you wish. Then calculate the volume and surface area of the shape you created. Remember you can click and drag over the shape to see it from different perspectives.

Enter your answers in the blank text boxes and click “Check Answers” to check your answers.
