Instructions for Use

Percentages allows students to see how you can use an equivalent ratio to solve part-whole problems.

Fill in any two of the three boxes (whole, part, and percent). Then click “Compute” to find the remaining quantity using the equivalent ratio:

Part      =     Percent
Whole         100

Using the Proportion Method allows students to use the proportion method to solve percent and fraction problems.

Read through the introduction and the Examples. Then try solving the sample problems. Once you know how to use the proportion method, solve the 20 questions at the bottom of the page. After you solve each problem, click the “Answer” drop-down menu to check your answers.
