Use these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about ratios and rates. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Compare two quantities using ratios.

**Instructions for Use**

**Comparing Ratios** allow students to compare two ratios to see if they are equivalent.

You will be given two different ratios to look at. Compare each ratio and decide if you think they are equal. Check the circles to scale the interior ratio to the original ratio. Then, see if the ratios are equivalent or not.

**Equivalent Fraction Finder** allows students to practise creating equivalent fractions.

Add columns and rows to the square(s) to make an equivalent fraction to the one given. Click “Check”. The fractional value is shown on a number line after you check to see if your fraction is correct. Click “Next Question” to get another question.
