CHAPTER 8: MEASUREMENTLesson 1: Telling Time to the HourUse these interactive activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about measurement. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs. Goal Read and record clock times to the hour, and identify activities for different times. Builds Upon Student Book pages 262-264 Instructions for Use Clocks allows students to read and record time using digital and analogue clocks. Clocks is a good tool for helping students tell the time using both analogue and digital times. To use Clocks, click “Start” on the first screen. An analogue clock will appear on the next screen, showing the current time. Play with the hands by adjusting the minutes and hours by clicking on the arrow buttons under each time set (1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour). Click on the “Now” button to take the clock back to the current time. Click on the arrow button to show a digital clock instead. |
